The IP with support for 100G/50G/40G/25G/10G/5G/2.5G/1G Ethernet speeds has the following three major configurations: It integrates hardware stacks for timing synchronization (IEEE 802.1AS) and traffic shaping (IEEE 802.1Qav and 802.1Qbv), frame-preemption (IEEE 802.1Qbu and IEEE 802.3br) and a low-latency Ethernet MAC. The DesignWare Enterprise Ethernet Media Access Controller (MAC) IP (XLGMAC) enables a host to transmit and receive data over Ethernet in compliance with the IEEE 802.3 and consortium specifications.
